Location
Island Šolta is an island in the centarl
Dalmatian archipelago, separated from the mainland by the Split Channel.
It is an island of medium size, but with 60 km of very indented coast
it is one of the most beautiful Croatian islands. Its 24 bays and 4
ports can take more than thousand small yachts. Although just half an
hour by ship from the Split, Šolta's natural enviroment, its complete
peace and silence have remained untouched. Solta offers to its visitors
to live again the Mediterrain.
Donja Krusica is a small village situated on the northern side of the island of Šolta, and it is in the vicinity of the sea. It was founded by the inhabitants of Šolta who needed a harbour for their village of Donje Selo (which is connected with Donja Krušica by the 2 kilometres of an asphalt road). The place is ideal for tourists who are looking for the authentic architecture of this Dalmatian island or for those who wish to enjoy the preserved wilderness of Šolta.
